Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop is the industry leading Photo and graphics editor. It a pixel based program which has great flexibility for creating a multitude of design work. We use it for a variety of work from UI design to icon creation and branding.
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator is the creative suites vector based editor. It also has great compatibility throughout the Adobe Creative suite and is used everyday for a whole host of design tasks. It is also the principle tool when composing any infographics, wireframes or brand identity work!
Adobe Indesign
Adobe InDesign lets you design engaging layouts for both our digital and print mediums, and has powerful formatting tools which enable precise control over everything from typography to page formatting. We use InDesign principally as a layout tool for any print documentation or interactive digital presentations.
Adobe Flash
Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 is an application for developing rich content, user interfaces, and web applications. Adobe Flash Player is a multiple-platform client runtime. Flash displays content created with Flash Professional CS5.5, such as web application front ends, high-impact website user interfaces, interactive online advertising, and animations and rich Internet applications (RIAs) created using Flex.
Adobe After Effects
After Effect lets us produce bespoke videos.
Adobe After Effects is a digital motion graphics and compositing software published by Adobe Systems, used in the post-production process of filmmaking and television production. Its main uses are the origination of 2D and 2.5D animation, visual effects compositing and finishing (image adjustement, color correction etc.). After Effects can also be used as a basic non-linear editor and a media transcoder.
Adobe Fireworks
Fireworks is a bitmap and vector graphics editor formerly developed by Macromedia and since 2006 developed by Adobe. The main purpose of Adobe Fireworks is for creating expressive, highly optimized graphics for Web, screen and various devices.
With Fireworks you can make websites, user interfaces and rich Internet application (RIA) interfaces which are editable in both vector and bitmap modes. Fireworks has Pages/Master Pages, Layers, States and Symbols – all features that considerably speed up development of Web designs. You can also use it to create wireframes and interactive prototypes — you can apply behaviors to objects to simulate interactivity; you can add text, symbols, images and also import Illustrator and Photoshop assets; and once ready with the design you can export the files as clickable PDF mock-ups for approval.
Font Lab Studio
FontLab Studio is a professional font editor for advanced typography. It can import and export TrueType, Type 1, and OpenType fonts. It has extensive glyph drawing and editing tools, advanced metrics, Multiple Master and font transformation features. A font manipulation macro language is included, as is an OpenType feature editor. FontLab supports virtually all font encodings and codepages and can import/export fonts with up to 6400 characters. Version 5.0.2 features new metrics, autotracing, Unicode 4.1, Python 2.4.
Apple Xcode
Xcode is a suite of tools, developed by Apple, for developing software for Mac OS X and iOS. Xcode 4.1, the latest major version, is available on the Mac App Store for free for Mac OS X 10.7, and on the Apple Developer Connection website for free to registered developers (though membership costs $99 per year) for Mac OS X 10.6. As of September 2011, Xcode version 3 is still available for free download from the Apple Developer Connection website. Mac OS X install DVDs typically include a copy of Xcode, as well.
Ajax
AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) is a Web development technique created by the synergy of XMLHttpRequest, JavaScript, CSS and HTML/XHTML. AJAX makes it possible to load and display layers of new data on a Web page without having to navigate away from it, giving a seamless and traditional, application-like experience to the user.
Android SDK
Android apps are developed using the Android Development kit, making use of the Java Programming language and running in a virtual machine on a custom Linux kernel. Unlike iPhone, Android is a multitasking and multithreaded environment, so developers have significantly more control over things like an application’s appearance and ultimate capabilities.
CSS 3
CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) is a stylesheet language used for describing the layout of HTML and XHTML documents on the Web. Implementing CSS on a Web site not only requires expertise in the coding language, but also in-depth knowledge and understanding of the quirks and challenges presented by the various popular Web browsing applications.
iOS SDK
The iPhone, iPad and iPod touch are revolutionary mobile devices created by Apple, Inc. They are proprietary devices so Java and other mainstream mobile applications don’t work on them. Instead, Apple created their own API language that developers need to use. While iPhone OS shares a common heritage and many underlying technologies with Mac OS X, iPhone OS was designed to meet the needs of a mobile environment. Existing Mac OS X developers will be at home developing for these devices, but they’ll also find technologies that are available only for iPhone OS, such as the Multi-Touch interface and 3-axis accelerometer support.
